My very good friend has recently applied for a place in foreign bank and its a very very very good place with lots of benefits. But he have to go through 5 to 6 interview and 3 mths probation to secure the job. Is it worth the hassel as PWC only had 1 interview and no probation???? His answer is YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He had went through 2 interview and he was wondering how did he do for them. But the thing abt interview is that no truthful feedback is given to you. So Jia You!!!(X3)

Ok... An update of recent happenings.. & no more qns after reading k?

Been into stock market recently and I managed to cash out jus before the STI dip. And after so many books that I’ve read here are some tips which could be applied to yr life as well.

1) Always Do Research
You must always research, read the news paper, past trends before u jump into any investment or a market. Know the market share, who are the current competitors and future competitors as it would help you to decide how much money to put in.

2) Have faith in the Investment
Once you have put in your money, u mustn’t jus cash out if it turn bad. You must hold on to it for a little longer.. If yours is a good market/share, it will bounce back in a few days. Jus hold on to it..

3) Keep on Investing
If the share have been giving reasonable return, it world be good to keep on investing as long as u have the cash flow as over time the dividend will be quite good. Better than bank interest rates…

4) Withdrawal to Cut Losses
If the Market too small with too many competitors (bubble tea), it might be advisable to withdraw from the market to cut losses. Only those cashflow rich can maintain in those long term price wars. U might as well invest on other market which can give u the returns you desire.
If the share price keep on giving undesirable returns, sell it and not to lose all your money with it. Other shares which give good return are out there..

Hmm… this looks like product life cycle. or economics… So don’t just enter/exit from a market, reasonable risk are involves. It all depends on your risk appetite….

What action should i do?? Is the market too small? Is a price WAR going to happen? I don't think i can go to war and study at the same time... Too much stuff to care about................................................................................................................

Been in a state of confusion lately. Been asking question with answer that do not tally with what they meant. Dun say things of what u dun mean… So is this how people should relate? Living a a life full of parables, guessing? I don’t know… Perhaps I dun understand…

Eg1. During lunch time
A ask the B where shall we go eat?
B answered “anything”, let the front people decide.
A discuss with the front people and say lets go “X”
B didn’t say anything but stand there and say “Anything”(seemed forced)
C ask B shall we go “Y” and B say ok.

Conclusion : Since B know where to go, might as well make the decision in the beginning.

Eg2. Asking a person out?
A ask B are u free to go out on dd/mm/yy wif me?
B answered yes…. (seems forced)
Then A ask are u pressured to go?
B ans No..
(after 1 hr of discussion)
A ask B so we confirm going?
B say " Okie lo..we go out ba"

Conclusion : Did B go because B is forced????

Well no body like to force ppl doing what is not their will… so please speak out what u really want. And say things of what u meant.

Saying things of what u dun mean => lying, deceitful, dishonest, insincere, untruthful, mendacious, false, two-faced… Well it may be a white-lies… but still a lie… Tactical without ethic?

There would be time that we would hope that we could have more time for classes and to be with the one u would want to be with. But In reality, we have only 24Hrs a day. How could we do so many things? And we would tends to Limit ourselves to our circumstances.

"Circumstances" comes from the word "Circle" & "Standing" => Where we would be standing in the cycle of events. We would always believe what we can see & touch, and based our standards on our circumstances. This could inevitably set a Limit on what we can do.

1 thing i've leant is that Our Reality is affected by economics and is not fixed. What may be true now may not be true tomorrow. Light blub, Flying, and making telephone calls seems to be unrealistic at 1 point of time, but now it is jus so common to us. So don't limit yrself to what u can do based on the current standing, We would remain where we are unless our mind changes. The strongest prison is in our heart & mind.

We would think that time is a scarcity and limit our ability to cope with life.
There was 1 point in time that human relies heavily on coal Large-scale coal mining developed during the Industrial Revolution, and coal provided the main source of primary energy for industry and transportation in the West from the 18th century to the 1950s, and it was estimated that coal supply would run out by 1900. (not i say, better cite before an IP lawsuite.. http://en.wikipedia.org/)

And it happen jus in time that the first oil well was found in northwestern Pennsylvania on 27 Aug 1859. In 2004, the survey of energy resources stated that there is no shortage of Oil.

Food is also not a scarcity. Since WW2, the world population increased 2X but food has increased 3X. The problem with all the starvation in poor countries is due to Mismanagement not scarcity. India has 1 point produced too much grain that they have to throw them away into the river to prevent the prices from falling too much.

So please do not think that Time is a scarcity, there are so many proven theory that alternative resources is there to help us. What is lacking is Faith that things will work out well, Hope, Creativity & Willingness to make things work.

The Lack of time will not produce failure only MISMANAGED time can. A phone call or sms may not be as good as meeting up but its still better than nothing. In reality, 2 busy ppl would not have time for each other, but with Faith, Hope & proper time management, time is not a scarcity & don't limit yourselves without trying. Everything is determined by the way we Think & Visualised.

Too tired... update other day....

Managed to go home early on Wed after all the vouching. End work at abt 4+ and reached home by 5+.. Fell so tired so i fell asleep.... Woke up at abt 9pm, so i rushed to MacDonalds at Secret Place & had fries. Followed by Ice Tea from Mos Burger. Time really past very fast when u dun notice it. By the time i reached "the" Coffee Shop to have a "proper" dinner/supper it was abt 11pm... So Sinful... All the hardwork on Monday is now gone :( I have to eat abt 2 person share of food....

Today, Dolphin is somehow upset... Didn't realised it until Rainbow told me abt it... So Sorry, didn't mean it, as somthing was on my mind during the day...

Today had a roller coaster ride before the end of day... Hmmm... Had planned something already for the night (happy) but last min canceled (sad)... Then change of plan (happy).... Found something online... Was really sick these few days... Class was cancelled and i went to take medicine at some "god-forsaken land"... was lost there, like a map without a compass... A angel showed me the way out...

Sometimes there will be coincident in life but too much coincident I think its fate. If it happen 1 or 2 time u can deny... what if it happen more than 10...? Since we want to live in denial, so be it...

Waiting is the stupidest thing to do Cos waiting Is a waste of time. Yesterday, I was thinking why there is no such thing as waiting strategy? Why management guru don’t come out with one? It is because waiting does not need a Guru to teach you, but waiting it a act of stupidity & lack of common sense.

Since young we were taught of “Shou(3) Zhu(1) Dai(4) Tu(4)” and wats the outcome? Nothing. If we really want some thing we should seek it and not wait for things to happen. Its like waiting for money to drop from heaven.

In Business
Have you ever seen a company that has wait for the profit to come in? No. A new product would need to have advertising campaign, old product need to have improvement & development. Waiting is equal to waiting to die.

Physics
I think there is a Newton 3rd law that say “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” Forces always come in pairs - equal and opposite action-reaction force pairs. So waiting will get you to no where, because there is always be another opposite forces.

View Point of a Farmer
We were taught that a farmer will sow his seed and wait for harvest. But have any1 thought of what he do in between? An action is always required everyday of his life, to water his plant, to take care of his plant until it is natured and ready for harvest… He can sit there and wait for 11 years and I can surely say that no harvest is for him. He can be sad, we can be sad for him, but since when life is fair…
The law of sowing and reaping we must keep on sowing until the day of reaping and not sow and wait…

So does that mean that for those who ask there would require no action? I can jus ask God and wait?? No!!! Faith is an Action. We don’t talk the talk, we Walk the walk. Since Faith requires an action, so waiting is not God Way.. ASK = Ask, Seek & Knock… So asking is not jus asking but also require you to actively seek it and knock away the deterrence.

Study
Most relevant to most of us… Common sense question… Is there any1 that wait for knowledge to go inside the brain… Or we take action once in a while?? No!! to get good results, we need to have an action of taking up the book and start studying.. Our circumstances will not change unless our thinking change… So wats the point of jus waiting, and take up the book once in a while? What are u thinking in between your free time?? Other goals?


I can go on and on, so many examples.. So waiting would require an action. I can say I have waited for God to make me rich and find me a wife for 22 years, since the day I was born. So what am I going to do about it? Make people upset?


Conclusion
I will not wait anymore, not even for another day… I will keep on pressing on…. Pressing on, is an action of pressing…

Just Finish doing Research on the "Industry" and sort of know what are the existing competitors are doing. Wah.... It seems that my Company is underperformed this year... Shareholders seems happy but then compared to wat my competitor's dividend it was nothing.... Quite a last min planning was done... who ask u not to do research??

3 is always better than 1, and 9 is better than 0.6 yrs...
But I still remember how Toyota beat Ford Motor, how Fujitsu enter into Europe, How Lee Iacoca turn his company around...

I've talked about Benchmarking as a way of learning from yr competitor. But as mentioned Benchmarking will never make u the market leader as you will always be a follower. To really have a competitive advantage (CA), something that only we have, u need to have a mixture of understanding of the situation. CA includes differentiation and Niche respond.

Makinsey 7S model mentions that to be successful, most company would require the 7S.

Strategy - In terms of Short Term, Mid Term and Long Term. (done)
Skills - Our Core Competency (done)
Staff - The design/Innovation Staff (if One Man Operation, then DIY... done)
Style - Management/working style (done)
System - IT system (75%)
Structure - NA
Shared Value - A common goal with the staff.

But somehow patience is not inside... So does it mean that it does not applied to those with high risk appitite and insitutional investors?

Making decision is also difficult. Should we do nothing, withdrawal, market penetration, or product development? If yr product is a Star (according to BCG matrix) then market pentration would the correct choice to make.

But in life, no matter how good you are, advocacy threat still exist... So u may still end up losing... Withdrawal decision is for the weak. Impossible is only for others who will not succeed....
